Northside Christian College provides many and varied learning experiences that do not happen inside a conventional classroom setting.  Our programs foster and encourage individual strengths and talents as well as developing leadership and team work.

The activities listed below add variety and richness to your child’s educational experience.

The VCAL Program (Victorian Certificate in Applied Learning) in Years 11 and 12 provides students with an alternative to VCE.

FIL (Fulfilling Integrated Learning) is for Years 1-6, & is a modified maths curriculum inspiring students to improve skills and be more confident mathematicians.

The Year 6 and Prep classes participate in a Prep Buddy Program, which develops responsibility and a big brother/sister attitude for the Year 6’s.  The Preps also have someone to look up to and even look out for them as they grow into school.

Mini Movers is a program for the Junior Primary students to encourage development of gross motor skills.

Students celebrate Book Week every year by dressing up in the themes of stories they have read.

A  Bike Education program has been operating since 2009 for Years 5, 7 & 9 students.

The Year 9’s also have the opportunity to participate in the Challenge programs.  This culminates in a trip to an outback Christian School in Western Australia.

We have a range of life experiences including diverse camping programs that operate from Year 3 right through to Year 12.

We continue to participate in the ICAS competitions in Maths and English.

The Student Representative Council serve at various fundraisers and community events to develop leadership and community awareness.

We have a range of leadership opportunities for our College Captains, and House Captains.  This includes Global Awareness Conference by World Vision and other leadership mentoring opportunities.
