Our new VET Course for Year 10 meets 3 1/2 hours a week covering 15 Units of Competency from the Hospitality and Kitchen Operations Certificates.
Students receive a Certificate II in Hospitality (Food and Beverage) and 2 units toward their VCE
They also receive Units 1 and 2 from the Kitchen Operations Certificate II.
Coursework includes a combination of theory, practical skills in coffee making, cooking and front of house restaurant waitering.  Assessments are undertaken in a local commercial kitchen.  Students also receive their RSA certification in order to work in licensed restaurants.  Work placement is required and students complete 50 hours in local restaurants waitering and working in the kitchen.
Uniforms are required.  Approximate cost is $300-350 year.
