VCE Vocational Major Teacher with the possibility of a Vocational Major Coordinator Position Of Responsibility

About the Position: Applications are invited for the position of VCE Vocational Major Teacher from passionate teachers with a strong commitment to Christian education. There is also an opportunity for the right applicant to be separately offered a Position of Responsibility as Vocational Major Coordinator. This is a full-time, ongoing teaching position commencing Term 1 2025.

The College is seeking applicants who value applied learning, collaboration, and team teaching. The successful applicant will be an engaging educator and effective communicator with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

The Position of Responsibility as Vocational Major Coordinator may be offered in addition to a teaching role. The teaching role will include teaching some Vocational Major subjects.

The Vocational Major Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and programs relating to the VCE-VM (Vocational Major) at Northside Christian College and reports directly to the Director of Senior School Learning. It is expected that the Vocational Major Coordinator will have some experience teaching the VCE-VM or VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning).

Casual Relief Teachers

Position: Northside Christian College invites applications from suitably experienced, VIT-registered Teachers to join a pool of preferred Casual Relief Teachers, on which the Colleges would call to cover teacher absences in the Primary School (Prep – Year 6), Middle School (Years 7 – 9), and Senior School (Years 10 – 12).

Staff and Contractor Obligation to Child Safety

All staff at Northside Christian College take an active role, and are well informed of their obligations in relation to Child Safety under Ministerial Order No. 1359 which came into effect from the 1st July 2022, supporting the implementation of the 11 new Child Safe Standards.
