Welcome Back to Term 2

Welcome back to school for Term 2. We pray our College community was blessed with a time of special reflection during the Easter period. The Bible reminds us that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17

The teaching staff officially returned earlier this week and spent Monday engaged in professional development and curriculum planning in preparation for the term ahead. The day was a great opportunity for staff to collaborate in faculties and to document curriculum using our online curriculum management tool, Rubicon Atlas. Staff had an opportunity to reflect on a wide range of student needs throughout the day in preparation for Term 2.

Our College Community is reminded to monitor the College calendar in The Vine each fortnight for details of upcoming events. Below are some particularly important dates during the next few weeks:

• Monday 23rd April: ANZAC Assembly at the Flagpoles between 8:40am and 9:05am.
• Tuesday 24th April: Parent Student Teacher Interview Afternoon/Evening (School finishes at 12.45pm)
• Wednesday 25th April: ANZAC Day – no classes
• Thursday 26th April: Parent Student Teacher Interview Evening
• Monday 30th April: All students need to wear their full winter Uniform
• Monday 30th April: Resiliency Workshop: Building Resilience in Young People will be presented by Sharon Witt on at Northside Christian College between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Bookings essential. 
• Friday 4th May: House Athletics Carnival
• Monday 7th May: School Photos
• Tuesday 15th May – Thursday 17th May: NAPLAN (Years 3, 5, 7 & 9)
